Job Title: Product Development/ R&D Specialist



Salaried Exempt Position Shift: Days



SUMMARY: Plays a key part in driving process improvement , delivering successful business results, and developing broad based strategies and products for a diverse set of clients in the Trellis/Steel Products Industry. Must have a passion for product development /R&D.






• Product design leading successful development from inception to market.



• Improving product functionality and/or in leading others in this process.



• Facilitate a cross-functional group in idea generation and prioritization.



• Leading senior leaders through decision making on attribute tradeoffs ensuring that the product will have all the right things to be successful in the market while maintaining a healthy margin.



• Estimating the full cost of a product, component by component



• Deep familiarity with product development systems and organizations.



• Knowledge of the full value chain, including manufacturing, purchasing/supply management, etc.



• A strong customer orientation with a history of influencing others and/or leading teams



• Prepares and presents presentations to customers utilizing Solidworks and various programs



• Performs other job duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Supply Management, Tracking Budget Expenses, Vendor Relationships, Organization, Customer Service, Documentation Skills, Supply Management, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Cost Accounting, Control Engineering, Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures. Complete knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures. Extensive knowledge of material work planning and methods engineering processes and procedures. Extensive knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements. Complete knowledge of all related skill area machines and equipment. Extensive knowledge of Excel and various software programs.



EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Ag Technology/Manufacturing or Engineering or Related Field which would provide for the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties of the position and one (1) year experience in a product development role in the Ag/Trellis/Steel Industry. Experience with Solidworks or similar drawing program as well as SAP or similar ERP system.



CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Must have and maintain and valid California Driver’s license insurable by Company’s standards.





Job Title: Outside Sales

Department: Trellis/Vineyard

Salaried Exempt Position, Starting Salary: DOE

Shift: Days


Looking for a highly motivated individual looking to work with one of the leading companies in agricultural trellis supplies that offers an excellent compensation and benefits package. The individual will solicit orders and contracts from industrial establishments and other end users for various steel, metal and vineyard products.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Ag Business or a Related field which would provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position and at least one (1) year proven success in Outside Sales Experience OR High School Diploma/GED equivalency and 5+ years’ experience in the Vineyard/Trellis/Steel industry in an Outside Sales capacity.


Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization utilizing excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills. Must have excellent mathematical skills and strong computer skills. Working knowledge in SAP or similar Enterprise/Sales software. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.


Must have and maintain a valid California Class C drivers’ license with acceptable driving record and personal car insurance as determined by the company’s liability insurance.


                                                                                                                                           Job Title: Production Supervisor – Bilingual; Salaried Exempt Position

Department: Steel Department

Reports to: Steel Operations Manager

Shift: Swing Shift: 230pm-1230am Mon-Fri; Hours and Days May Vary including weekends.                                                                                                                                                         

• Supervises employees in a Production environment.
• Plans and Assigns Work.
• Implements Policies and procedures.
• Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment operating procedures and working conditions.
• Ensures effective employee relations by providing employee coaching and development.
• Makes employment decisions and resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to   Management.
• Manages performance reviews and performs accident investigations.
• Maintains proper inventory levels.
• Operates a forklift and various other equipment on a daily basis
• Manages department priorities and tracks absenteeism and timekeeping of employees.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (Operations/Industrial/Manufacturing/Logistics) and one (1) year experience in a supervisor role in any type of environment, preferably in a Manufacturing/Production/Logistics environment  OR  Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (Operations/Industrial/Manufacturing/Logistics) and three (3)+ years’ experience in a supervisor role in a Manufacturing/Production environment OR High School Diploma or GED equivalency and five (5)+ years’ experience in a supervisor role in a Manufacturing/Production environment.                                                                                                                                                   

Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results. Supervision, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline. Employee training and development. Measurement of performance to goals and standards. An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations. Systems and continuous improvement orientation. Quality orientation and attention to detail. Problem analysis and resolution. Inventory management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. An ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong team player. Fluently bilingual in English and Spanish. Must have technical knowledge of Computer software programs including SAP or similar software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and various other software programs.                                                           

Must have and maintain a valid California Class C drivers’ license with acceptable driving record determined by the company’s insurance carrier. Must be forklift certified.
